Owner polls on the Live Oak Estates Homeowners Association website allow one vote per household on each issue so we can gauge owner sentiment the same way we would if we voted on a By-Law or Covenant Amendment. This limit is enforced using your username, which is why each household’s owners may have exactly one account. Note that although renters can register and view the website, they cannot vote in polls.
The start and end dates for each poll will be announced in advance via email and included in the poll itself. Unless otherwise noted, voting will begin at 12:00 am on the start date and end at 12:00 am on the end date.
There is no way to change or delete a single poll response, so be sure of your choice before voting.
There is no way for anyone to see how you voted; this information is not saved, just the fact that you voted and the overall vote tally.
You can view all polls by clicking “Polls” in the website menu.
Correct me if I’m wrong, Phrase IV is gated and I’m under the assumption that what goes on in Phase IV is Phrase IV responsibility. If they want to lower their light bill by using the led bulbs, why not? Does it t effect Phrase 1-3?
What type of bulbs do we have?
How many polls do we have?
Do we have a different poll and light?
The board agrees that this decision affects only Phase IV owners, that only they should decide whether to change their street lights and if so, which model they prefer. That’s why the poll page says “only those living in Phase IV will be able to vote”. We’ve provided all the information we have so Phase IV owners can make an informed decision based on both cost and aesthetic considerations.
For many years Live Oak Estates owners have rightly complained that ICI made all decisions without our input. Now that owners control the Association, it’s important that we not replace ICI with a board that does the same. This board is committed to the principle that owners, rather than those elected to manage the Association’s affairs, should decide how their money is spent.
The board created this website to communicate with owners in a cost-effective manner regarding the decisions the community needs to make and to allow all affected owners to voice their opinion.
This poll is the first in a series of polls requesting your preferences, and we hope everyone will register for the website and participate. Please encourage your neighbors to sign up.
